Key Takeaways

Today on the show, we explore the spiritual side of motherhood.

When a baby is born, a mother is also born. And when that child is put into the arms of that woman, that woman transforms.

Our culture is very heavy on the baby registry, and supporting the needs of the baby, and sleep training and feeding schedules and all of those things. But where is the conversation around the transformation into motherhood?

We talk about that today with the amazing Julie Piatt. A mother herself, Julie is a mystic, a bestselling author of 3 plant based cookbooks including This Cheese is Nuts, The Plant Powered Way, and The Plant Powered Way Italia. She is the founder of SriMu, a plant based not-cheese company, and she is married to one of the most prolific podcasters and plant-based endurance athletes of our time, Rich Roll.

On the show today you can expect to walk away seeing the sacredness of your motherhood, of getting in touch with your intuition, of deepening the connection with yourself as the powerful woman and shepherd of human life that you are.

Through embracing a  plant-based diet and deep meditation practice, Julie healed herself of a large cyst in her  neck, which doctors diagnosed as incurable. Her raw vulnerability and direct candor in sharing  her own life experience is a warm invitation for us to embrace our own life experiences  with a divine perspective and unconditional love. Her internationally acclaimed podcast,  “For The Life of Me,” is another platform where she offers musings in her approach to  find our purpose, conscious parenting, food as medicine, what it means to live a life of  devotion and how to experience deep intimacy in a relationships along with her  transcendent, healing and soothing music.

Julie has created over 500 plant-based recipes inspired by cooking for her husband and  four children. Many of these inspiring family recipes are featured in her three best  selling cookbooks The Plant Power Way, The Plant Power Way: Italia, and This Cheese  is Nuts! Now in her sacred offering of healing for our world, SriMu; Do Life, Not Cheese,  Julie adorns the mantel of cheese doyenne with pure intentions and powerful dedication  to offer all of us a more beautiful life.
